Cadillac is naming its first Formula 1 car in honor of 1978 champion Mario Andretti, who calls it the “ultimate compliment” ahead of the team's inaugural race next week at the season-opening Australian Grand Prix.

F1's new 11th team announced on Friday its car will be the MAC-26, short for Mario Andretti Cadillac, for the most recent American F1 champion.

Ford Racing and Red Bull are starting a nationwide tour, the Red Bull Showrun, set to debut in San Fran on Feb 21st before heading to Phoenix, March 14th, and Atlanta on March 28th, followed by additional stops across the U.S.

this weekend's Red Bull Showrun, will feature off-road racer Mitch Guthrie Jr. and rallycross champion and former F1/NASCAR driver Scott Speed, who will be joined by Red Bull Test and Reserve Driver Yuki Tsunoda, and freestyle motorcyclist Aaron Colton.

 Just three years into the Las Vegas Grand Prix, it's consistently building and tweaking its race traditions, with the cool-down car from the past two years upgraded in 2025 to a pink LEGO Cadillac piloted by actor and former NFL player Terry Crews.

At the end of F1's longest race by overall distance on the calendar, Max Verstappen, Lando Norris, and George Russell climbed into the back bench seat of the LEGO convertible, where a LEGO race track and oversized pink LEGO sunglasses were waiting for them. The LEGO Cadillac was seen around the circuit all weekend, and marks the second time that LEGO and F1 have joined forces to create life-sized vehicles for their drivers. LEGO provided 10 1:1-scale F1 cars for the drivers' parade at the Miami Grand Prix, which led to the 20 drivers fighting over the captain's seat and LEGO-to-LEGO contact.

Ex-Formula 1 driver Felipe Massa's £64 million claim against F1, its governing body the FIA and Bernie Ecclestone can go to trial, a High Court judge has ruled.

Lewis Hamilton's first F1 world championship in 2008 is the subject of legal action, with Brazilian Massa saying he is the rightful winner of the title.

Massa lost by a single point after Nelson Piquet Jr deliberately crashed at the Singapore Grand Prix.

At the 2008 Singapore Grand Prix, Renault staged a win for Fernando Alonso by ordering Nelson Piquet Jr to crash, which brought out a safety car and meant Massa, who was leading the race for Ferrari, finished in 13th after his strategy was compromised.

The following season, Piquet revealed he had been under instruction by his bosses to crash deliberately.

Massa's lawyers claim Mr Ecclestone knew the crash was deliberate and that he and the FIA failed to investigate it.

Mr Ecclestone, who was the boss of F1 for four decades before he was deposed in 2017, suggested in 2023 that the sport's executives were aware of the cover-up before the 2008 campaign concluded.
