Buick woody of Camp Interlochen. Girl getting autographs on her rain coat before leaving the camp

so many camps across the country had woodys for transporting the students, scouts, hunters or fishermen from the nearest train station or airport (or both) and it gives me pleasure to find the photos of those station wagons that were ubiquitous to those camps.

  1. And for taking campers to their campsites from railroad stations and to hotels, too. Some of them had roof racks, too. Sweet memories for an old man. Thanks

  2. My dad bought a 1952 Chevy Woody at the factory and drove it home to Seattle. It was still in great shape when I was 17yrs old. Then some drunk destroyed it while it was parked in front of our house. He then bought a 1957 wagon.
