the Hollywood premise of the new Liam Neeson movie has me wondering... has any villian ever really put a bomb in someone's car to get them to rob banks?

Neeson calmly relays in the trailer. “There’s a man who has put a bomb in the car. Under our seats, there are pressure triggers. We can’t get out. The car will explode.”

Hollywood used this in Speed, with Keanu and Sandra, and I'm sure in other movies... I recall the pizza delivery guy with a bomb strapped around his neck https://people.com/crime/real-life-story-evil-genius-netflix-pizza-bomber/  and though I heard of, and posted about that, until now, I hadn't heard if that was a hoax he pulled that went wrong resulting in him blowing his head off, or, was he really being used by evil people? Turns out, he was. 

The tangled saga was featured on the Netflix four-part true crime documentary series Evil Genius: The True Story of America's Most Diabolical Bank Heist in 2018.  But you can read about this, and it gets crazier the more you learn.
