I think it's attention deficit disorder, always looking to be entertained by interesting stuff, and you haven't seen much of it... I have 12 blogs, facebook pages, and tumblrs, have been reading books since age 8, kept them all, been watching tv since age 5, watching movies in theaters since 1977 (Star Wars was my 1st) collecting lighters, coke cans and bottles, radios, jackknives, blu rays, magazines (all the Hot Rods except for the first year) about car stuff (all the Muscle Car Review) go to 4 conventions a year (CES, Con Expo, Comic Con (14 years now) and SEMA (14 years). Obsessive compulsive? Not really, just a collector I guess. I've made a 6 month project of doing an extensive family tree, began a book of favorite poetry by reading 6 dozen poetry books, bought 6 dozen more, haven't finished that because I got distracted by Just A Car Guy blogging, and fixing up my 69 R/T. Am I forgetting stuff? Of course. But my point was, I find stuff, share stuff, and this is only a small part of all that. I believe a lot of people are just like me, busy, with projects, and easily distracted because the human brain is wired to be learning all the time, all our life. Some just enjoy it a bit more than others (video game players) and are constantly craving something new and interesting/exciting to be interested in, all the day long, every day. So, it's probably ADD, or AD HD, but that wasn't invented until a decade or more after I was out of high school. I'd be interested in seeing what that medication does to my brain... especially if it helps me learn music and learning how to play guitar
You find the coolest stuff. I don't know how you do it but I'm glad you do.
