you've heard many stories of guys not coming back from Nam, and their families selling their cool cars... well, this is the 1st time I've learned of a WW2 soldier who didn't come back and his car being sold by his family

This 1930 Chrysler Model 77 is one of 1,729 Sport Roadsters built for the model year and is said to have been placed in storage in Ohio in advance of World War II, in which the car’s then-owner lost his life. Chassis C116CL was purchased from the owner’s widow in 1950 by another Ohio owner, who kept it for 25 years before selling it to an Ohio family who retained stewardship for almost four decades. A refurbishment is said to have been performed between 2000 and 2010 before the car was purchased by the seller in 2014.

It's on Bring A Trailer, currently for 30k, with 3 days left

the gallery has about 350 photos
