welcome! I remember doing something similar to what these kids are doing, just taking some car or truck type toy, and using part of the yard to recreate a road, on a very small scale.
I always remind my kids, that before cell-phones or iPads, we had no problem entertaining ourselves. I can recall many blissful hours in that exact situation, with my cars/trucks in the dirt. Don't even get me started on how we terrorized the neighborhood on our bikes!
Ha!..I even had access to a hose and made my own lake with my 1950's steam shovel..I remember putting twigs & paper in it and lighting it so I had smoke...Where did I get matches and how did I get away with it?..I was in 1st-2nd grade..I'll never know...

ReplyDeleteHey! I've still got one of those car carriers in the foreground.
ReplyDeleteI have no idea how it survived me, my kids and the grandkids.
