    1. Moses? Led his people out of the desert? Parted the seas so his people could escape the Roman slavery?

    1. Lol... well, I have to say, there must be a couple ways of looking at what this, or anything is worth.
In terms of earning potential, not much. I don't think there is much that could be bought and sold, especially after talking to some other bloggers. Stickers, shirts, they don't actually sell very well unless you have a really big marketing budget and some super clever smart people coming up with stuff. So, if Bomonster was doing his early fun stuff, and labeling it, just a car guy, I think it might sell ok. Still not enough to quit a day job.
If advertisers were somehow convinced that they could make a lot of money by selling and advertising on this site, maybe a couple hundred dollars a year more might be made.
But, if people were convinced that their time spent here was worth money, like a movie, then maybe serious dollars would be equal to the time they spend here. Say 5 dollars an hour.
Most movies are 15 dollars. 25 to 30 in one of those theaters with the restaurant and beer brought to your seat.
but lets jsut say that the entertainment value was 5 an hour, and they had to pay by the hour for reading along. The bill would be monthly, so only a couple minute a day might be an hour a month. Fine, that'll be five dollars.
Then add up the revenue from all viewers - less than a minute is free if there is no return. Or, 5 free minutes a month.
Then add up the revenue after a month, it might be a couple hundred. Now realize that as long as the site is up, there will always be new people popping in, liking what they see, and wasting an hour. So, perpetual money.
Then decide to sell, and what do you charge, because the only buyers would be assholes who want to monetize the whole thing and ruin it by adding nothing of quality content anymore.
      What's the price tag? I say 50k.

    2. That's why I realized a long time ago, this was not a money maker. Might as well leave all that advertising crap the hell off it. It's fine as it is, people can come, enjoy, and if they want, clink the tip jar.
If not, maybe they just pass along the word that they liked what they saw, and bring in more readers.
Eventually, the word might get around that it's a good place to enjoy car guy stuff without all the bullshit about test drives of fucking cars no one can afford, like Porsches and Ferraris, and Bentleys, and that bullshit about 10000 dollar watches no one buys.
That is why I'm just a car guy, not an entrepreneur, and I simply enjoy car stuff, and trains, trucks, planes, motors, etc.

If any realizes how much I've enjoyed doing this, they might figure I ought to give it away. I've gotten press passes, made friends, been invited to the Rallye de Gazelles, and the Ford vs Ferrari stunt man interviews.
Well, being broke, I can't actually do all that stuff, but wow, I was so damn proud to be considered worthy of that level of professional attention by people who do cool stuff, and Larry Wood invited me to check out his garage!
So, anyway, it was even neat to think I've made something that someone wants to buy.
That hasn't happened since 33 years ago when I painted a horse in high school art class and someone in town wanted to buy it.
