For fans of the 1980s TV series “Dukes of Hazzard,” the Lawyer Garage Collection features four re-creation vehicles, including a 1969 Dodge Challenger “General Lee”, Boss Hogg’s 1975 Cadillac Eldorado, Roscoe’s 1975 Dodge Coronet Police Car and Cooter’s 1971 Chevrolet C30 tow truck

It wasn't just the tow truck, it was a four car package saluting the Dukes of Hazzard. The winning bidder also got a Dodge Coronet in the Sheriff's trim, a convertible Caddy complete with horns on the hood in Boss Hawg trim, and an Orange Charger in General Lee trim in addition to the tow truck. Much more realistic pricing with the four car package, volume discount LOL. Tom Wopat was even on hand to drive the Charger on to the auction block.
ReplyDeletenice! Sounds like they went to some effort to put some "show" into the event
DeleteWas this the sale of Cooter's collection from his store, maybe? Roadside attraction type thing?

DeleteFrankly, it just shows there are people out there with more money than brains.
ReplyDeletenot a bad price if it was all four vehicles, and they were done nice.
ReplyDeletethe charger alone would be worth half the total price,
sometimes stuff sells really cheap.
remember the superbird/daytona used in the Joe Dirt movie , sold, after the movie, for $18K whicih was less than half price for a nice wing car, not counting the history.
