Ford quit making big trucks in 1998 I owned several Ford LTL-9000 big rigs, the cab was much wider than a regular 18 wheeler, Ford was ahead of its time, because now all the big trucks have wide cabs. the one thing missing from Big Red is a bed. I modified my bed to fold up and built a shower under it, using a laundry sink and a shower curtain that you pulled up and stuck to the ceiling with magnets, dropped a heater core into a tank and used the engine coolant to provide plenty of hot water.
the Ford cabovers had a floating cab, with air springs at each corner, it rode nice, but leaned alot when you turned a curve, and that made you feel like the truck was flipping over.
the dashborad consol is so so cool
