the woody Ford from the 1997 movie Lolita has been pulled out of storage

They "patina'd" the wood with hairspray and sand to get it to look aged

  1. Faux patina done well is fine by me.
    I wouldn't change a thing.

  2. I am glad to see the woody is still around. I did the upgrades to the electrical and cooling on this car for the movie studio. They also had another woody body they pulled around on a car trailer to film a lot of the interior shots. The movie was not released for about a year and a half after it was done. Timing is everything and there were some child crimes in the news about the time the movie was completed and the studio held release. It eventually was released but the distribution was somewhat limited. Randy Rundle fifthaveinternetgarage.com

  3. I'm the caretaker for this great car for the past 5 years. We bought it from the owner who bought it from the movie studio. It was the main car for the movie "Lolita" and it was in barn storage for many years. We took it out and rebuilt the motor and brakes and transmission to make it safe. We left the car dirty for the first two years before having it polished and buffed. Took it to the 2017 Concours d’Elegance of Texas and it won for best woodie. We took it this past year to Woodies on the Beach in Santa Barbara California and it won for the best 30's Woodie. It is a super fun car to enjoy. Jeff Cassell
