looks like in 1916 Kettering was making gen sets for farms, and that really moved them out of the oil lamp era into the modern day. Nothing on the internet from Delco Remy, who seems to have shed the Delco name, and goes by Remy, who is owned by Borg Warner
GM also owned/owns locomotive builder EMD - Electro-Motive Diesel, Detroit Diesel, Allison Transmissions (and engine division), Terex and Euclid trucks, just to name a few more.
Nice to know these piece of information. I guess, General Motors had made great deal with businesses.
