The U.S. Air Force is joining forces with Richard Petty Motorsports for the seventh consecutive season as a primary sponsor for two races on Aric Almirola's No. 43 Ford in the 2015 Sprint Cup Series season.
The No. 43 Ford will carry the Air Force logo for the two most patriotic race weekends of the season: Memorial Day weekend at Charlotte Motor Speedway for the Coca-Cola 600 and Fourth of July weekend at Daytona International Speedway for the Coke Zero 400.
In addition, the U.S. Air Force will remain an associate partner on the No. 43 Ford for the entire 2015 season. This season marks the U.S. Air Force's 15th year in NASCAR.

The US Air Force requested $122.2 billion for fiscal 2016, a budget that emphasizes designing the Air Force of the future while addressing current needs.
The budget was crafted to balance the future force with what Maj. Gen. Jim Martin, Air Force deputy assistant secretary for budget, called the "most urgent combat and commander requirements."
"It's a request that's based on necessity, what we need for today's readiness in a long-term strategic framework, the capabilities we'll need in the future," Martin said. "It also allows us to begin the recovery from three years of operating at reduced funding levels."

"The fundamental issue is going to be that the American people cannot expect their military to do what we've been asked to do in the past if we stay at this funding level," Chief of Staff Gen. Mark Welsh told the House Armed Services Committee on Tuesday.
The Defense Department's fiscal 2016 budget request calls for $534 billion in base funding, about $35 billion above the sequestration-imposed budget caps. If the caps are imposed, the Air Force would have to cut the U-2, block 40 RQ-4 Global Hawks and KC-10 Extenders, reduce F-35 purchases and reduce flying hours, Air Force leaders have said.
Sequestration hit the Air Force's combat squadrons in 2013, forcing 17 to stand down and others to reduce flying hours. The service is still trying to recover from that readiness hit, but it will take eight to 10 years, Welsh said.
