the ambulance appears to be a 1917 Model T donated by the graduating class of Lake Forest College class of 1917
That is Bill Murray on the left. Below is the ambulance that the class of Harvard brought
and this hard worn ranger is what the class of Yale donated
I saw this movie years ago when it first came out and loved it. I remember at the time, critics panned it; I think mainly because it was a departure from Bill Murray's usual comic character roles. I loved seeing the ambulances, and it killed me to see that white Packard destroyed. I remember the scene in which the drivers are showing off their new ambulance and saying "Isn't she a beauty", and I believe Bill Murray's character yelling at them about what a huge target it was. He spattered mud on it, and begged them to make it less noticeable. Later on, you see a line of ambulances crawling along as the Germans shell them, and there's the big, white Packard with the red cross and the side. It is hit and that's the end of it. You've awakened my interest in that film. I think I'll try to find it online.
