That race car is based on the late 60's early 70's Argentinean built Dodge Polara Coupe. The Dodge Polara was based on Chrysler's A platform so it shares some components with contemporaneous American muscle cars.
If you google Dodge Polara Argentina you can see some cool pics. The car also came with trim packages that will sound familiar to you. You could get a Dodge Polara Coupe RT or a GTX in very 1970's colors (yellow, orange, purple, apple green, etc). There was also a sedan version of this car. The Dodge Polara (different from the American Polara). The Argentinean Polara was a luxurious and powerful landbarge. In the early 60's Chrysler used to sell Valiants in Argentina. In the late 60's the American market moved to a new platform and new models. At that time the decision was made to keep Argentinean cars on the old A platform. The story I heard multiple times is that Dodge Argentina didn't have a design department. In order to update the design of the cars they talked Chryslers HQ in Detroit into letting them use a design that had been developed for the US market but canceled at the last minute. That is how Argentina ended up with very American looking muscle cars that were only available in Argentina (I understand that later some of these cars were exported to Spain in very limited numbers).
