I haven't seen a Jeepster for a while, and this is the first I've found while out walking around
probably the Charles Barkley pronunciation of terrible
and this is how nice this neighborhood is... not typical of San Diego in general, but, I do want you to know there are some neighborhoods that are indistinguishable from the midwest states
The Jeepster looks like it has been sitting quite a while, too bad and boy I would like to repaint the yellow and white tu-tone...fantastic! Bummer no cat stalker. Thanks for taking pics. while taking care of yourself.
ReplyDeleteI spotted two cats watching from a window across the street, and didn't even try to get a photo, they wouldn't be very easy to see from such a distance, through window glare. Thanks for following along with this adventure! Did you see the wheel chock under the back wheel? It's been sitting there a while
DeleteBack in the day I always kind of liked the Jeepster. Nice size, decent looking, still a good robust Jeepy machine, and a good bit nicer ride than a Scout. But that example kind of reminds me of the problem that kept me from getting one. You see all sorts of wonderful old cars on your walks, many long gone on this end of the country, but even the California one is getting pretty lacy around the edges. Jeeps all rotted at a pretty good rate here in New England, but you could practically watch a Jeepster dissolve.
ReplyDeletewell, this one has been getting sun damage for about 60 years, and some salt air from the 1o miles away Pacific ocean, so, considering those factors, it's doing ok
DeleteThe 8th pic is a CJ-5. Ones that close to stock are scarce as hen's teeth!
