The new NMoto Golden Age has vintage looks because they take a BMW C400X scooter and turn it into a truly retrolicious art deco bike

12,500 dollars, and they are making only 100 of the kits

  1. If you look up Henderson motorcycles from the 30's you'll see that's what they're mimicking.Way ahead of it's time. Kind of the like a Ford enthusiast re-pop version of the AC Cobra. Still pretty darn cool

    1. I don't need to look up the Henderson, I remember it well from the many times I've posted about it, and seen it, since 2010 https://justacarguy.blogspot.com/2010/07/1936-henderson-at-rhinebeck-grand.html and https://justacarguy.blogspot.com/2014/04/a-henderson.html
You didn't actually feel I was ignorant, did you?
Or that I didn't recognize the similarity?
Good grief Charlie Brown, have you such a low estimate of my thorough knowledge of things vehicular?
It's slightly insulting that you feel the need to advise me to look up the 1935 Henderson.
I've even posted the cgi version https://justacarguy.blogspot.com/2019/06/just-because-its-only-cgi-doesnt-mean.html

    2. I doubt any other website has posted as much, or as thoroughly, about the Henderson. Harrumph. Good day sir!

  2. Jesse, Like so many people that utilize your website I was just posting my thoughts on it. Yes I know you've posted thing on the Henderson before, but made no mention of it or put up a link to where people could reference it to see what the manufacturer was mimicking. Not everybody reading this blog knows that. My response was directed to all readers to reference if they chose. How or why you chose to interpret my post as a mention of your lack of knowledge of the things you cover completely boggles my mind. I've seen other post where you've chastised people for similar responses that I didn't interpret as criticism. It would be different if they just came out and called you a dumb sob then I could understand. Nobody knows everything....especially me. At 66 I wake up every day and realize how much I don't know. Actually I'm truly impressed with your knowledge of the things you cover. And that's why I come to this site daily and will continue to do so. I sincerely wish you a healthy and prosperous 2022. Please continue the great work and thank you!

    1. Well.... it did seem like you were saying I should look it up... hurrumph. I shall now say Good Day in the other way, complimentaryish. And i just invented the word "complimentaryish"
I often don't cross reference the other times I've posted stuff, because it's time consuming and I'm on a roll with other things to post. It took me 3 hours to work through the vintage bike ads for example, as I found much better examples of lousy copies that I'd posted, and went through them all to take the time to upgrade my post on the bike ad posters of Mich.
Anywho, what you wrote "if you look up the Henderson" seemed like a small dis.
Obviously I have a lot of problems, and one of them is reacting to any criticism. Well, I'm not quitter, and I'm not going to go to therapy for it, I'm just a goofball wasting time posting stuff (15 years so far) who has a sore tooth, or 5, and doesn't sleep well. It makes me very damn touchy about a perceived slight.
What say we for get all about it?
Which, is easy for me, as in about 30 minutes, I won't remember this conversation at all.
I doubt you've been reading along enough years to have come across it, but, I have posted years ago, that this blog isn't for anyone else, one reason I take no effort to advertise it, it's for me to enjoy any year now when I'm fully unable to remember anything at all.
I simply have a terrible memory, and it's getting worse, and this blog is where I'm curating the collection of the things I really like, and soon enough, I'll be able to not recall anything, and then I will go through this blog and enjoy every damn post that I've selected, for my own enjoyment.
It's an effort to make the website I'll love the most.
That so many other people enjoy it? Is a cool side effect, but hasn't ever been the reason for making this collection.
In the end, I'll read through this amazed at all the stuff I've posted, feeling it's been made especially for me, as sad as that is. Not knowing that I did it. Sort of Flowers for Algernon.
As this past week indicated, when Joe Sherlock died, we are here for too brief a moment, and our little light is extinguished too easily, and too soon, and these websites are the thing we leave behind to show we were here and made a cool thing

  3. We were good when I closed with wishing you health an prosperity with 100% sincerity. Moving on is what so many people can't seem to be able to do nowadays. We are good. I also want it add I admire you weren't afraid to post my response describing my side of the story and your polite and gracious response. Your a great guy that provides great entertainment and tons of information. Lately I've also noticed a lot of comments from people mentioning enjoying your site for years that I've never seen chirp in before. I think you've got a lot of sleepers out there buddy. Peace and have a great day!
