obvious bad planning and wasting money, so, a government project

  1. Not necessarily. I saw couple of times such things and wonder why build roundabout with one or two blind exits. But as my buddy working for city explain, such thing are mostly plan ahead. In development plan for that area there could be new roads toward housing area or industrial park that will be build in the future, but not now. So instead of rebuilding existing road then, they already have a roundabout that will connect new roads with existing one. And sometimes it take years or even a decade before investment start and such blind exits sit there and people wonder... who fuck up this time? And sometimes it is a fuck up, but it can be also planning for the future. So instead of bad planning this can be a good planning and will save money in the future.

    1. Ok, I see how it's possible that I am not necessarily right. Doesn't mean I'm wrong.
AND, which is more likely, that the govt fucked up, again? OR, that they are planning ahead deliberately, and did the right thing?
Ok? So, what's more likely? Exactly. That's why I am the one who makes up the caption, UNLESS you will do it for me from now on, lol

  2. Just got back from a house-hunting trip to Florida and saw this multiple times, albeit on a smaller scale, in the subdivisions I drove through. Backed up on Google Earth views via Realtor.com, where a cul-de-sac with 1 or 2 empty lots at cardinal points 1, 2, or 3 years ago shows up now as the access road to the next new development when I drove there.

  3. Someone was thinking long term, Jesse. When I go to Orlando in order to miss the Disney traffic, I take a local two laner. They put a roundabout in the middle of nowhere on the road the marl trucks use. Works slicker than owl poop.
