I never thought about the name Monza, but it is a city and race track in Italy, and Ferrari is from Italy. Chevrolet may have trying to cash in on the Monza's design being "inspired" by a Ferrari. However, the Monza actually looks more like the 365 GTC/4, especially in the greenhouse / B-pillar and rear end styling. (I tried to find a picture of the 365 GTC/4 on JACG, but I didn't see one)
that's gotta hurt.
ReplyDeleteMonza?
ReplyDelete"the inspiration for the Monza." FIFY :).
ReplyDeleteAgree, the similarities are pretty clear.
Except, that's it's a 1975-80 Chevy Monza not a Vega. Oh, and the Ferrari was produced from 1968-73.
ReplyDeleteLooks like a Monza!
ReplyDeleteRemarkable similarity!
ReplyDeleteNot a Vega, It's a Chevy Monza.
ReplyDeleteSo true except that the Chevy is a Monza. I’m nit picky l know but….
ReplyDeleteOkay I am nitpicking,as true as this comparison is the Chevrolet is a Monza.

ReplyDeleteThat is actually a Chevy Monza, which 'may' have been the based off the Vega platform.
