if harming or hurting a police dog is reason for police to assault a citizen, and arrest them, and jail them based on some idiots notion that the dog working for the police is a cop, then why don't cops who harm their police dog get arrested by their fellow cops? Salisbury North Carolina Police Officer James Hampton tendered his resignation after the department recommended him for termination following an external investigation, police said in March 2021. Hampton was allowed to resign following a due process hearing, according to department policy.

“Officer James Hampton was K-9 Zuul’s handler, and was the officer depicted in the video engaging in inappropriate discipline of Zuul,” Salisbury police said in the press release about the Oct 2020 event. “The police department’s review determined that Officer Hampton had acted in a manner entirely inconsistent with his K-9 training and had violated police department policy.”

Salisbury is about 45 minutes northeast of Charlotte on I-85. Its police department employs 81 people, including 72 sworn officers.

The department first came under fire in early March, when Fox 46 published a nearly one-minute video that appeared to show an officer lift a police dog in training by his leash, slam him into the side of a patrol car and hit him.

Hampton is seen exiting a police SUV with a back door open. As he walked away, the dog leaped from the open door and tried to follow. Hampton can then be heard yelling, and the dog appeared to immediately lie down.

Hampton walked toward the dog — later identified as Zuul — and put his leash on. The video then shows him lifting Zuul up by the leash and swinging him around his back as he returned to the SUV.

“We’re good, no witnesses,” someone in the video can be heard saying.

Zuul was then slammed into the side of the vehicle with a thud before being shoved back inside, the video shows. Hampton appeared to yell “stay” before lifting a hand and hitting the K-9.

Hampton joined the police department in 2013 and became a K-9 officer in 2015.

So, all the protests about police brutality accomplished nothing. 

That dog deserves better, and so do the citizens of the USA, because police are like that everywhere, and treat citizens, just like that. George Floyd for example.

What's more, there were two witnesses, and neither did a fucking thing to stop this asshole from hurting that nonviolent, obeying, quiet, dog from being hurt by this asshole cop. They aided and abetted the assault of a police dog, and since police will fucking kill you for hurting a police dog, by telling the non police of this country that their dog is an officer, that equals aiding and abetting the assault of a cop. 

That's a felony. 

But the useless police chief of Salisbury North Carolina, and region 5 director of North Carolina's Association of Police Chiefs, Jerry Stokes, didn't have the backbone to arrest this asshole, James Hampton. Didn't fire him either. 

They advised him to resign. I think that means this utterly vile former cop, gets a pension from the taxpayers. He also can, and likely will, go work for another police department.

One more time, law enforcement is a gang, culpable for the actions of the other police who commit crimes, simply because they do not arrest the police who commit crimes, and break laws.

If that dog attacked Hampton, they would have killed it. So... how's it logical that Hampton gets to resign, get hired by other police departments, and gets to own dogs in the future? ?
