https://www.retrowatchguy.com/products/cool-60s-buren-min-stop-parking-meter-timerand all the damn car sites that are pretending to be "lifestyle" focused, have never mentioned a watch like this, simply because it doesn't fit the thousands of dollars narrative, or because it's not from a sponsor?
Buren was a Swiss pocket watch and clock manufacturer born at the tail end of the 1800s. Fast forward to 1966, and the brand was sold to Hamilton and was part of the changes that brought Hamilton's manufacturing from the US to Switzerland. The movement in question is the German-made Durowe 471-4, a hand-wound 17-jewel movement from the late '60s that ticks at 21,600 vph. Before this example's time, back in 1959, Durowe was bought by Timex and would later wind up as part of the group that would create ETA.
