  1. where did all the 70s paint jobs go?
and all the cool custom vans?
my father was a park ranger, and we lived on a state park.
in the late 70s the van clubs would have their meet ups at the park and the place was filled with hundreds of the coolest customized vans youve ever seen.
chopped tops, channeled bodies, scissor doors, murals like you wouldn't believe, and side pipes, and slot mags and keystone mags for miles,

    1. I've been wondering that myself. I think it was cheap paint jobs from Earl Schieb would just cover it all.
I don't know anyone that can afford a paint job now. But every old car seems to have had a couple. Paint must have been damn cheap.
I sure wish I had a time machine!
But, I got the internet, so I'll go find some more cool old car photos, and post them. lol

    1. Darn right they do. Great photo, great boots, great looking young woman. I bet, that given a choice of living in 1971, or right now, a lot more people would opt for 1971. When a house cost about the same as a car. When you could hitchhike. Concerts were about 5 bucks

    2. Compared to 2020, the year of my graduation from high school in '71 was great. I pity these kids today. Especially when I see the shit show all of us are being treated to. This movie sucks, I want my money back! I had some great times in the 70's. Look at the McDonald's stand in the last picture. Seems innocent in comparison to what we now have.
