according to Ford, the cost of healthcare for it's 55k hourly workers in 2020? In excess of 1 billion dollars.

Why? It's workforce is just getting older, as I'm sure it's not hard to imagine that Ford doesn't hire kids graduating high school with no job experience, not anymore.

  1. so - that works out to $18,181.81 per employee per year, divide that on out by covered spouses & children, it's not a bad number at all. In the US, the averaged out cost is about $10.5k per person. I can't believe I just said that $18k per year is a pretty good rate. shit
