The “Drag Racing’s Who’s Who,” article consisted entirely of leftover NHRA Nationals photos. Ever since Wally switched NHRA’s focus from street to ’strip in 1953, HRM, Car Craft, Rod and Custom, and even Motor Trend consistently rewarded dues-paying racers and fee-paying track operators with national exposure unavailable to nonmembers.
