In that era Buick always put the biggest number they could on the air cleaner. Of course 465 is not the cubic inch displacement - it is the claimed maximum torque figure. It has been confusing the unsuspecting ever since.

DeleteThe biggest version of the nail head engine was 425 cid. I believe there was a dual quad version of it. For 1967 there a completely new engine - 430 cid, later 455. Lots of stuff on the teambuick website. No more dual quad after 1966 as far as I can see.
