can you imagine wrecking one of the most iconic photos ever, because you're clueless in your marketing correctness? Heaven forbid someone who races motorcycles for a living engages in risky behavior, like cigarette smoking

Ducati photoshopped the cigarette off the coolest photo I've seen, and ruined it.

Is there any reason to remove the cigarette for "safe" or "healthy" reasons, when you're aware that a motorbike race is nearly a suicide mission?

  2. Considering that 'The Continental Circus' lost a rider or two every season, cigarette smoking must have been a minor danger.

  3. The Euros have laws about advertising cigarettes. They probably didn't do it to be politically correct, but because the Nanny State made them 'shop the cigarette out.

    1. Hmmm, then the nanny state is forcing them to be PC. That still sucks, and still makes little sense when the subject is racing motorcycle

  4. This picture of Giuliano Maoggi With his lips pressed tightly around the cigarette and chin jutting with determination reminds me so much of my deceased friend Larry. Gone now for more then ten years. looks just like the big lovable dope. And yes, he died riding his motorcycle.

  5. More than being PC, they are altering historical records, rewriting history, and that's always wrong... unless you win a war.
