There is a temporary halt to F150 production at Ford, due to a fire at a parts supplier company, it may last a couple weeks

Seems like both plants that make the trucks are going to lay off workers for a bit, but the good news is that they get most of their regular pay during such rare occurances.

The two plants that make the F150 are in Dearborn, Michigan and Kansas City, Missouri.

  1. they also get nearly full pay while on strike,
which is why they strike so often

its also why Toyota Honda BMW Mercedes Volkswagen Hyundai Mazda Suburu and all the others can make small cars that sell at a profit, and Ford GM and Fiat/Chrysler can not.
Ford is giving up the passenger car market to those companies, mostly to Honda and Toyota, im sure they think that Toyota will never be any competition for their pickups, just like im sure they thought in the early 70s that Toyota and Honda would never be any serious competition for their passenger cars.
