A video of the mass of cars and people leaving Woodstock, from busses, to Uhaul vans, to VW microbus in Mondriaan colors made by junkyard parts of the right colors
welcome! Cool to see 1969 in color and all about the cars and kids coming from an event. A nice cross section of cars shows that it wasn't a VW owners event, or nothing but hippies in old school buses, etc. It was a variety of all types.
I believe the red Doka was painted and not made of junkyard parts. Some of the color changes don't align with pannel transitions/changes. In any case it looks great!
Ah! Thanks! So, Mondriaan paintjob? I was guessing on the junkyard panels, thinking, fast easy way to achieve the look without messing up a van... with cheap paint that isn't going to get back to normal easily
thanks! Weird back end... I haven't seen many Sonnets, this must be one I've not come across. Huh! Amusing that a Saab Sonnet isn't found in my view of the automotive enthusiast world... chuckle
I'm assuming the hood and trunk riders are being taken 'uproad' to their gridlocked cars. But what strikes me is that I doubt kids would hang on to a car like that in this day and age.
Not a VW kit car. A Saab Sonnet I think. Great video. Thanks

DeleteThe red sports car is a Saab Sonett II

DeleteThird car down is a Saab Sonett II.
ReplyDelete"Little European thing" is a Saab Sonett. Kinda crude-looking fiberglass body, so Veedub kit car is a good guess.

DeleteYou all are on top of identifying Saabs! Dang!
ReplyDeleteLots of Detroit iron, a P 1800, (!) a few MG's and what looked like a Jag Saloon.
