they should teach these Nascar drivers how to drift, and keep on with the race, instead of creating a hazard and coming to a stop

see what I mean? If they could learn to smash the gas pedal, and steer into the turn... they'd stay in the race

  1. That my friend is part of what killed NASCAR for us and for many others! Too many yellow flags, followed by interminable lap after lap under caution so everyone gets a chance to pit under the yellow! We gave up our season tickets to Bristol several years ago when the racing just got too boring to watch! Too many yellows and the "car of tomorrow" were bad enough. The Chase was just the final nail in the coffin.

Merry Christmas to you Jesse and all your faithful readers! Thank you for another entertaining year!

    1. yeah, I can see how that would waste the race time, and more importantly, the spectators time, and ruin the day.
Merry Christmas to you too! You're welcome! I got lucky and found a lot of fun stuff to share

  2. In both cases, the driver is counter-steering as far as the car will let him. It's just not far enough to allow recovery. A big difference in a quick-ratio steering box that allows lots of angle for drifting, and a slow box that keeps things stable at 200 miles-per.

    1. dang it, I should have thought of that, but Ib was caught up in my genius solution no one else had noticed. Crap. So much for that idea

  3. Wasn't drifting Nascar's basically the plot of Pixar's Cars?
