According to Automobile magazine this is the artists rendering of what it will look like, and it's going to be called the Zora Corvette
Really, why would anyone buy a new Corvette? The 2018 was not much better than the 2017 which wasn't much better than the 2016
Now, finally, a reason for Vette owners to salivate and lose their minds about buying a new Vette

so the corvette is finally going to be what the Fiero almost was
ReplyDeletethe last revolutionary car GM made was the Fiero
and with the right engine, the Fiero is an incredible car.
GM didnt use the Oldsmobile quad 4 engine, or the Buick supercharged 3800 V-6 from the PArk Avenue geezer-mobile.
Or the aluminum block 4;9 Cadillac V-8, which bolts right in and has TWICE the power of any engine available in the Fiero.
the 85-87 models were kinda lame, initially offered with only a 4 speed manual transmissions, even though Toyota had 5 speeds in 1975, but GM spent millions redesigning the entire car for the 1988 model year, then promptly killed it.
The 88 Fiero GT with a 4.9 Cadillac V-8 bolted in is an incredible car, my brother sold both of his Corvettes after he built a Fiero with some power.
GM made sure the Fiero didnt outshine the Corvette, and thats why they killed such an incredible car, look at all the body kits that were available for it, GM could have made a dozen different car bodies that could be bolted on the Fiero in a few hours.
damn, a bolt in v8? Sweet!
DeleteYou know the new head of GM Design is an Aussie, right?

I did not know that! THanks!
DeleteLast revolutionary GM car? the Bolt - and the Volt before that.
ReplyDeletethe Volt is a nice car but its $20K more than a Prius,
DeleteIt took GM how many years to clone the Prius with a bigger battery ?
not exactly revolutionary
neither is the mid engine Corvette, almost every car company has made a mid engine car
