I didn't hear that Triumph and Guy Martin set a new record last fall, breaking the 46-year-old Triumph record at Bonneville. 2 engines on a 2 wheeled streamliner, as it isn't even close to a conventional motorbike, it has no handlebar, just joysticks

Instead of sitting on the machine, like a conventional bike, the driver is strapped into a seven-point harness with his feet in front of him.

Instead of a single handlebar he has two joystick-styled controls.

Triumph has a history of breaking the land speed record, holding the title of ‘World's Fastest Motorcycle’ between 1955 to 1970.
 The record-breaking Triumph Streamliners included:
Devil's Arrow,
Texas Cee-gar,
Dudek Streamliner
and Gyronaut X1, the former achieving a top speed of 245.667 mph

  1. It's not rocket-powered. It has two turbocharged Triumph Rocket III engines. The Rocket III is a 2294cc 3-cylinder motorcycle. The standard motorcycle is shaft drive, but the pictures here don't say how the streamliner gets the power to the rear wheel.

    1. Whoops! Good point.

You know, it's a good thing no one gets on my case about all the mistakes I make, or that I'm usually posting while half asleep at the keyboard.
