Pictured is the 1968 Daytona 24 winning Mustang of Jerry Titus. However, Ford engineers insisted on supplying Shelby with engines for the upcoming T/A season that unfortunately resulted in a series of DNF's due to engine failures that ultimately handed the '68 SCCA Trans-Am Championship to Penske and Donohue in the new Camaro. It's a shame, if Shelby had been allowed to run his tried and true engines the title might have gone to the Mustang and Titus as in the previous year.
