the new GT 350 comes with carbon fiber rims, but, it's not the 1st time non metallic rims were used in hi-po cars

the 1989 Shelby CSX came with Motor Wheel Fiberride compression molded fiberglass rims. 15".

But they were only 2 pounds lighter than aluminum. So, what reason was there to pay more for them? None
