That is a very cool picture. I have come to appreciate trains more as I have gotten older. I suppose some of that is due to the time I spent driving truck long haul with my wife. We live in South Dakota and would often take loads from John Deere in Moline to Portland to ship overseas. We would always see trains in Wyoming that were incredibly long hauling coal. We would also see them going over Donner pass in California and just be amazed by the power they had as we understood fully how much energy it takes to haul a small load like our truck which full was 80,000 lbs, over such a hill. And most people forget getting up is only half the battle. Getting all that weight down in a safe manner is a whole different set of skills. I still have riding a train on my bucket list.
