2004, 5 and 6 Audi RS4 cars are the target of front seat thieves.


Since the seats are in high demand by less honorable performance car owners, but aren't sold by Audi any longer, car thieves are breaking into Audi RS4s, removing the seats, and without opening the doors. The victims are finding their cars written of as a total loss by insurance companies, as the only way to replace the seats is to build them with parts from Audi, piece by piece with the cost of labor and parts coming to about £19,000. It takes in excess of 20 hours at £132 an hour.
Tales from dealers, forums and aftermarket alarm-installers suggests seats aren't safe in any street-parked RS4, especially in London.
