The American Muscle Car Museum in Melbourne spans more than 120,000 square feet and houses over 400 vehicles from the personal collection of Mark Pieloch

The museum isn’t open to the public day to day, which is what makes its upcoming Space Coast Toy Drive and Car Show worth making the trip for. 

For the event, the team is working alongside Vetted Ventures, a company that focuses on private sales and acquisitions across a range of industries. The goal this holiday season is pretty simple: bring people together around cars and do some good for the local community in the process. 

The collection includes more than 50 Indianapolis 500 pace cars, 

over 50 Shelby models, and one of the most extensive Yenko collections in the world, 

with 29 cars representing every make and model ever produced.

There is a vintage car museum in Kentucky that opened in 2022 that has over 250 vehicles billed as the ‘most mind-blowing private car collection in the midwest.’ It is called Collection 21.Tours are available to the public every Friday and Saturday.

That museum has a partnership with HONK, Housing Opportunities of Northern Kentucky, and 100 percent of the proceeds from the museum goes to HONK to help them with the good work they are doing to help the people of Northern Kentucky find affordable housing.

HONK is a non-profit faith-based organization that has had over 30 years of success in helping to guide families and individuals on the path of home ownership.

They help by rehabbing older homes, and building new homes. They are able to keep it affordable by having volunteers who offer free labor, and also donations from generous people who believe in their mission.

“Honk is an incredible program that makes a real lasting impact in our community,” said Erlanger Mayor Jessica Fette. “Their commitment to providing affordable housing and helping families build stability aligns with our vision for a strong and thriving Erlanger. We’re proud to support their efforts and the positive change they bring to our city.”

The anon collector asked to remain off-camera and anonymous, content to put the focus on the significance he finds in these cars.

I will guess I've already posted them all, one by one, as different reasons and times allowed. I've even see a couple in person at Concours de Elegance shows, and SEMA. 

But, I never even considered that anyone would ever try to replicate a Motorama display, with busses and cars. That would be frickin epic. 

Since this is just the Joe Bortz collection, and he doesn't have a bus, I guess it's still possible that someday, someone will get the whole set (as much as possible) together for a museum display and really blow everyone's minds. 

I just learned that George Foreman collected cars, and he's now auctioning 50 of them off, including this VW bug he's owned for 33 years, it shows only 555 miles.

The Ferraris were assembled and owned by a Florida real-estate developer named Walter Medlin, who in the 1990s ran into some trouble with the Internal Revenue Service. The IRS seized three of the cars for non-payment: a relatively nondescript 1976 308 GTB, but also some very historic racers, a 1966 P3 and a 1967 P4.

The remaining 20 cars, still showing their hurricane damage, are to be auctioned separately, without reserve on Aug. 17 by RM Sotheby’s during Car Week in Monterey, California.

“The collection has been in Indiana for a decade, across the street from the Indianapolis Motor Speedway,” Keast said. “They’re still covered in dust, sitting on flat tires and not running, basically as they were when the barn collapsed on them.”
