intriguing (Joe knew what this was about!) Cadillac Allante bodies were made in Italy (Pininfarina design - beautiful car) and shipped by air to Detroit for assembly to the chassis and powertrain. (How to make cars expensive, and go bankrupt, class 101)
Cadillac Allante bodies were made in Italy (Pininfarina design - beautiful car) and shipped by air to Detroit for assembly to the chassis and powertrain. Not a very fiscally efficient means of production and yet another nail in the coffin for Old GM.
