Shas points out that this is likely a video game image... damn fake CGI... he's probably right, all the black holes on the wing and fuselage are the same black level as the star and bars. Also, it's consistently low res fuzzy
Jesse, these are incredibly tough airplanes. The have a Titanium "tub" that the pilot sits in making him damn near bullit prove. There have been missions where the aircraft flew back to hit's home base with one engine completely gone. They can carry a huge amount of ordnance. They carry enough fuel to stay on station for a very long time. They are know as the Korea/Vietnam era Douglas Skyraider. Congress has been trying to retire them for a good while but not having much luck. Ground troops strongly support the Warthog as do a number of members of Congress. Guess we'll see.
As A-10 can indeed take a really big punishment and still carry you home, in this case it is just digital model. I spend way too much time in games to not recognize one... probably much more then I should but hey, everyone have a hobby. This model... hmmm, I would put my bets on DCS, Warthunder don't simulate such damage to airframe, rest games don't have such complex damage models.
