former car dealership in Japan is a hoarders domain... with a LOT of classic Mini and other small cars. This is an active business run by a man whose family owns the building and cars. He buys and sells car from an office in the back and he lives upstairs in an apartment in the back.
Saw this a few weeks ago and have respect for the culture that doesn't rob him blind nightly.
ReplyDeleteCompletely agree! Japan is very conservative, I enjoyed my weeks there when I was in the Navy and we pulled into Sasebo and Yokosuka. I even grabbed a train ride to Tokyo and walked around.
DeleteLots of interesting stuff there. The Japanese are known for liking things to be neat and orderly. I wonder what the neighbors think of the hoarding situation there.
ReplyDeleteNice banner picture today with the kids washing the old Cutlass.
thank you for the banner compliment! It's rare to get a compliment on the banners! It's hard to find good banner photos, and harder to find ones with a sentimental or emotional factor... I've posted a LOT I simply adore, but never hear any feedback on, not even on the monthly banners post, or the annual "best of the years banners"
DeleteDarn shame. I get a kick out of so many of them. I remember the one with the kids doing handstands on a dirt road, and that was months ago!
Thank you!
That picture reminds me of an old picture I have somewhere. It shows me when I was 4 or 5, helping my dad wash his 4-door Cutlass. I think it was about a '67, but it was just a used car at that time.
