nice vintage limo in the Netflix series Wednesday. Its a stretched 1938 Pontiac, with a custom back window, on a Mercedes G Klasse with air suspension custom made for the movie
IMCDB doesn't have an entry for this Netflix series
Every detail seems to match a 38 Pontiac and nothing else, except for that back window, but if you look at it, I think it's the same outer size, just without the center divider, which was changed in '39, so I'm suspecting either that a change was made in restoration, or that it was some odd mid-year change in the original. In other respects, the '39 is a poor match, but given that this car could have been extensively rebuilt, lots could be altered, parts combined, etc. I mean these days, judging from the extreme bits of reconstruction and high quality fabrication I've seen on the internet at times, it would not be a complete surprise if the thing had been a field wreck with a tree on the roof, and a whole roof transplanted from another car.
I was wondering what this was, I was stuck that it was a 38-40 Cadillac but none of the trim matched. What about when they showed the underside of the car in episode 1 and it had a driven front axle, Its 4wd/AWD???
I've worked on the car and you are right 👍 it's a 38 stretched Pontiac on a Mercedes G Klasse ( 80's military version if I remember correctly) on air suspension that we built for it :)
