My curiosity is piqued. The content of the link refers to the post as a photograph that’s part of a collection entitled: Rescuing Texas History. “Texas History?” The train (electric) operated between Milwaukee, Wisconsin and Chicago. Texas History? Maybe the units were built in Texas? Sorry. That honor goes to the St. Louis Car Company in 1941. Maybe the menus were printed in Texas, but if so, tell me about the Alamo instead if history is the theme.
I rode the North Shore regularly in 59/60, going to school in Chicago week-days and heading to Milwaukee on week-ends. The train ran thru or on the edge of the Great Lakes Naval Base and there was always a bunch of white clad sailors heading north to Milwaukee for the week-end.
I am short on sleep, so, instead of logic being applied to your comment, I instead tried comparing your comment, to what I posted, and found that it doesn't apply to what I wrote. There fore, your comment was not sent to the right person, someone at the Texas History website. I think, because you wrote " the content of the link refers to" then you too agree that your comment was meant to be emailed to them, not me. I posted a menu, because, hey, I dig it. I've posted menus in the past, mostly because the art was vehicle related. I don't wide scope my view of the applicability of the image, with the source, and find faults. Maybe it's Monday, but something struck a nerve with you, and you passed it to me. Don't do that. I didn't earn it. I see the source says " Menu from the Chicago, North Shore and Milwaukee Railway's "Electro-Liner" train No. 805, northbound enroute to Milwaukee." I don't find the problem there, they agree with your memory of a train with sailors, heading north even. But you did use logic after all, Jesse. Your use of the term “therefore,” clearly demonstrates you did. You made reference to “what I posted” and “what I wrote” in your first sentence. You’ll forgive me I’m sure, for saying the two phrases are not equivalent. Your remarks are one thing, but the image itself and link are quite another. It seems to reasonable to me that the since you put this stuff online for the entire world to see that the image and link are fair game to comment on. And that’s what I did, without any reference to you, malicious or otherwise, or your work. The conundrum in my mind was not by any means a source of annoyance. There are some things in this life that justify being annoyed, but at 82 with health issues they are fewer and fewer. I assure you, what you think was a source of annoyance to me was not. Regarding pizza, post the name of your favorite pizza shop and I’ll arrange it. Serious. Not as a means of redeeming myself in some way (I make no apology for my posted remarks), but as a small token of my appreciation for the work you do bringing all of us JACG. Ball is in your court.

Yes, it's game to comment on, certainly, but what you said struck my as annoyance with their site, not mine "The content of the link refers to" I just share the stuff I find interesting, " if so, tell me about the Alamo instead if history is the theme." I can tell you what little I know of the Alamo, and Davy Crockett, as I find both of interest, and I went there when stationed at Lackland AFB. But you seem annoyed at their site, not mine
