here's why it's impossible to find hot rod parts cheap... too many hoarders whose estate sale will sell off the parts for 1/4 of what he thinks they are worth after the hoarder is dead.

  1. Or....he could have left all of this stuff in a field to turn back into iron ore, or maybe go to the crusher and become toyota's. At least they're preserved dry.

    1. you make an excellent point, though out of circulation, these are preserved for the next century. We may not have legal gas engine powered vehicles, and gas powered cars might not be street legal... but these will eventually be on the market again, someday. It will be up to the most innovative, and rich, to solve the problems of finding the side windows, windshields, a chrome shop still legally operating, and all the other problems of the industry potentially dying off due to a generation or two being priced out of hot rodding, and not having any real steel to work with, but someday, these might be back in circulation of the guys who want to make new hot rods from old car parts.
I'm more annoyed at the politicians and oil company bastards who are messing with our legal ability to drive a fun high power no fender hot rod, than the hoarders... but the future doesn't look optimistically fortunate for hot rodding
