Hmmm, imagine all new cars having speed limiters, you know, in the event you don't buy an electric, the govt gets to keep you from speeding, citing the smog excuse. Even the electric ones
In Australia the Police won't like that as there budgets rely on speeding fine revenue. I can see new cars in Australia having your bank account linked and debited every time you exceed the limit.
Silly government- A more efficient way would be to use the existing OB2 port connected to a GPS and a data logger. System records every time you speed & by how much/how long, stomp on the gas, don't come to a complete stop or run the AC when it's only 75f. On your birthday, you go to renew your tag for the year, you get your fine or the year.
