Notice the “Mr. Horsepower” logo on the radiator shroud representing Clay Smith cams. Smith was the chief wrencher for JC Agajanian in 1952 when Aggie won the 500 with Troy Ruttman at the wheel. Thus, have to wonder if the 52 on the hot rod door represents anything special. It’s been a very long time since I’ve seen Mr. Horsepower, but recognized him instantly after years and years of seeing the bird in old Hot Rod magazines.
