Well guys, it could be that the design team at the Lexus office did swipe the idea from the old Plymouth, but for me I think it looks better on the MoPar then it does on the Lexus. To me every time I see on of those things I always think of a Cylon helmet from the old Battlestar Galaxia.
I think the Car Guy is a MoPar fan, as am I. The 61 was an UGLY MF IMHO. This one here though changed my mind big time. I wish it had a hood on it though. And it's even a Bubbatop like the 61-62 GM products.
Heavy Exner influence here with the design.
ReplyDeleteA design stolen by Lexus?
ReplyDeleteThe shape of the grille is kind of like the current Lexus Spindle Grille.

ReplyDeleteI've seen the Lexus grille design compared to the mouth of the Predator from the Schwartzenegger movies.
DeleteAnother good example Marc.
