I wonder what it was like to be in your twenties in 1968.
I was just that, 20 years old. It was the year of a corrupt presidency sending 58,000 men and women to their deaths in Vietnam. However, it was the year of The Doors, Hendrix, Stones, booze, weed and 'free' love.
and the Beach Boys, Elvis, 1968 Muscle cars, Dune Buggies, no laws over every damn thing imaginable, etc. Yeah, Nam... and politicians, the other side of the coin. Crazy times when you could hitchhike across the country, speed limits were 75? I think I heard... and hippie communes, and cheap everything, before inflation, when you could home build an airplane, or copter, or ultralite... and Von Dutch was alive, and Roth, and Barris wasn't making crappy Hollywood cars for fame desperate stars yet
It was fun.

DeleteThat's what I would have liked to be. Alas, I was born 5 years too late.
