The most important public health workers are garbage collectors and janitors. So much of our health relies on a clean environment. These people do some of the most important work in society. Respect.

  2. This pandemic has finally shown to many who the true heroes that keep society working everyday are. Many of these heroes were already recognized as such (doctors, EMTs, etc.) but many others were not. I'm talking about garbage collectors, people stocking shelves, food processing plant employees and many more. And yet all these jobs are usually reserved for the least educated people in our society and are paid the lowest wages.
I'm not advocating for comunism or arguing that I want to do these jobs but I think we should all acknowledge that not once in the last 8 months we NEEDED an overpaid athlete or a Kardashian and yet we all NEEDED janitors, garbage men and food on the shelves every single day.

  3. Agreed Matias, Let those over paid, pampered, and at times obnoxious mouth pieces for the true "One Percenters" go out and do the job of the common man. The cooks, the store clerks, the sanitation men and women who face this every day's un-regarded dangers and do their jobs. There is a symphony written for these people by Arin Copelin. It's called "Fan Fair for the Common Man"
