  1. Frankly, I don't see a lot of difference between this and the road service trucks that carry a few gallons of gas for who can't read the fuel gauge.

    1. allow me to expand your experience with irony in this case please... anyone who runs out of gas was driving a vehicle that they used without being philosophically, or fanatically opposed to gas powered vehicles and the amount of pollution they create.
An electric car owner typically is opposed to the pollution made by engines, and THAT is why they decided to buy at a higher cost, the pure electric car, not a hybrid, so their smug snooty snob mind would be justified in casting aspersions on the polluting vehicles.
SO, here is "the rub": the electric snob who needs a roadside charge, MADE 2 times as much pollution, or more as generators are not smog law compliant, by USING an electric car at this moment in this photo where the gas powered van had to roll out with a disel burning generator..... to charge the damn battery

  2. Methinks the earliest gas powered cars occasionally had horse carts bring out gasoline, when they ran dry. At least until a sufficient infrastructure was established. Here in Denmark you'd buy gas at the pharmacies....

    1. every where I've heard of in the earliest days of internal combustion engines was selling gas in tin cans at pharmacies and drug stores

  3. This picture is wonderfully ironic. An oxymoron for the whole argument. I love it. And yes, the future, while maybe not all, IS stupid. Thanks Jesse, I got a good laugh out of this one. 👍
