The Ryan definitely has the pre-war coolness going on. Beauty is often in the eye of the beholder, and the folks over at Flying usually know what they're talking about, but a few of their picks are in the 'meh' or 'what are you smoking?' categories. The Citation X is 'meh' especially when compared to the Lear 24. Same with the 177, and the Duke, nice, but not a 10. Then there's the B-2 and the Sea Fury, ??? The B-2 is unique and amazing but not pretty (and this is coming from someone who spent 6 years in the black stealth program). The Sea Fury is an evolution of the Spitfire, a powerful brute but not beautiful, certainly not better than say a Mig 1 or an A6M Zero. They must have forgotten the F-104, the F-5/T-38, and Mirage III existed. And then the final what the??? is the de Havilland Dragon Rapide which has that weird gothic thing going on, but not the de Havilland DH.88 Comet? Oh well, done with my rant for the day.
