some young gearhead 25 years old or younger, has a chance to get a 1967 Cyclone GT from a guy who wants to get at least one young person started with a sweet project car, without the cost of buying that project car

Mike wants to invest in the future of the hobby by giving his project 67 Cyclone GT to a deserving young person who will work on the car and learn from the experience.

email  geniusgarage@hotmail.com with a brief introduction and description of what you would do with the S-code Cyclone GT, a 390, disc brakes and 9-inch rear axle.

The reason Mike wants to give his car away is because he got his start in the car world in a similar manner. A teacher of his helped him during his school years and ended up selling him a project car for $50. That car sent Mike on a positive path of learning and growth that he feels is getting tough to retrace as car values continue to go up.

Mike believes the massive price inflation of classic cars is preventing young car enthusiasts from learning and grow from the classic car hobby.

The deadline for entries is March 31, 2020, so if you are a millennial or know one who would like to enter, you should act fast.

  1. Here's a follow-up from today. He got a lot of older guys saying they'd "take the car off his hands" and others that actually told him they would flip the car because they need the money. That probably means they don't have the money to fix it anyway. It sounds like he's got a few good candidates already. It will be interesting to see where it ends up.
