Bo Williams was elected as Roane County West Virginia’s sheriff in November 2017, a month later he'd stolen the meth in the evidence locker

Williams was elected Roane County sheriff in November 2017. He began serving his term Jan. 1, 2018 but was taken into custody a few days later after the Spencer Police Department reported missing drug evidence from inside a locker at the department.

He admitted to stealing about 20 grams of methamphetamine from an evidence locker when he was a Spencer Police officer. Investigators also found bags of drugs in the trunk of the Spencer police cruiser he was driving.

Like most police that arrest people for the same crime, but don't get prosecuted the same way, and don't get the same prison sentence, this drug using and drug stealing cop that probably was doing other illegal things, like stealing money and drugs from suspects and not entering it into evidence (using it or selling it instead) this Sheriff for a moment got house arrest.

Of course, between the moment he was busted, and the moment he resigned, he was on paid "administrative leave" to stay at home while being investigated.

His profile on LinkedIn.com listed him as a certified meth lab technician since 2011
